  Thomas Gladysz
At the Castro Theater, 2006

Over the years, I've given talks on film, literature, and the arts at a number of venues. I've spoken about books at the San Francisco Public Library, and introduced films at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Action Cinema in Paris, and Castro Theater in San Francisco. I have also introduced numerous authors, artists, and celebrities at events I either produced or hosted. Among the highlights were hosting poet Allen Ginsberg's last public reading, introducing artist & filmmaker Bruce Connor before a crowd numbering more than 1400, and conducting an onstage interview with the last surviving silent film star, "Baby Peggy." I've also conducted public interviews with other noted cultural figures, including artists Don Bachardy and Stanley Mouse, screenwriter Frederica Sagor Maas, and others. I have spoken about my own book at local bookstores around the San Francisco Bay Area, and participated in panel discussions at both regional festivals and national conventions. Listed below is a selection of my past events. More recently, I did a

-- book signing with legendary comix artist Kim Deitch & Emmy nominated filmmaker Hugh Neely at the 18th annual San Francisco Silent Film Festival (July 2013)

-- and was in conversation with Boston Globe film critic Ty Burr at Book Passage in Corte Madera, CA (September 2012)

Please check back for upcoming events. I am always interested in speaking before groups large and small. For booking information, please vist my Togather page or contact my agent Christine Pascoe.
